  Traditional strength training exercises can restrict movements to a single plane of motion, which is an unnatural form of movement for the body and may potentially lead to faulty movement patterns or injury. Parker’s approach incorporates functional (or core) training for better muscular balance and joint stability. It aims to lower the number of injuries sustained and increase and individual's performance in a sport by emphasizing the body's natural ability to move in three anatomical planes of motion.
